For over a quarter of a century, Mount Sinai Health System’s globally acclaimed cardiologist Valentín Fuster, MD, PhD, built Mount Sinai Heart into one of the world’s leading centers for cardiovascular medicine. In 2023, Dr. Fuster stepped into the newly created position of President of Mount Sinai Heart, while continuing his roles as Physician-in-Chief of The Mount Sinai Hospital and as the Richard Gorlin, MD/Heart Research Foundation Professor at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.
Valentín Fuster, MD, PhD, is dedicated to improving health, and through his leadership, there is a true sense of purpose in the work physicians and researchers at Mount Sinai Heart do each day. The VF100 Campaign will forever link Dr. Fuster’s immeasurable impact on the field of cardiology and his 25+ years of leadership to the institution he helped build as President of Mount Sinai Heart.
Through the $100 million VF100 Campaign, we will cement Dr. Fuster’s legacy of excellence and rename Mount Sinai Heart in his honor.
